South Sudanese Independence Day

Saturday 9th July 2016

Today we enter our 5th year since our beloved country first celebrated Independence Day, yet in many ways we are still striving for a better tomorrow.

We are still battling and fighting for what should be our basic human right – to live in peace and harmony. We are still struggling to move forward and too many of us feel displaced in our own home, and land.

Still, I believe we must cling on to hope and that is something no one can take away from us. We must hold on to our faith and to each other. Now, more than ever, we need to stay strong and united because it is only through unity that we can become the peace we are longing for in our country.

If we must strive, then I encourage you to strive for knowledge so that we can find ways to improve each other and ourselves. We must become the helping hand that we need and despite whatever pressure that life brings us, we must learn to triumph over our trials. We must not allow our circumstance and the battles that ravage us daily to define us as a nation.

Today, I pray and urge all my South Sudanese brothers and sisters to never lose hope or sight that our beloved country can be restored. I pray for God to breathe His peace over us and to lift us up in strength so we can stand in one accord towards a better future.

Welcome to my new blog!

Tuesday 26th January 2016

Firstly, a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! I’m so glad you’ve stopped by. I recently felt a need to create a focused space to post my art and design – which, as my friends and family are well aware of, I am most passionate about.

In my everyday journey as a Courier driver, I stumble upon the most unique and captivating sights, and the artist in me cannot help but stop to marvel and capture what I see. Over time, I have taken many photos of various scenes and everyday life all around Melbourne, as well as shots of businesses and developments that I came across.

This is what you will find in this blog - art, design, photographs & other works.. I plan to use this blog to share a small part of who I am and what I have gone through in my life. I would also be more than happy to answer any questions you may have - that I feel would also benefit others.

Thanks for visiting and have a nice day!
